Partly sunny skies will likely make way for showers and thunderstorms Thursday in Denver, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast calls for a high of 73 degrees and a low of 51, with a thunderstorm expected in the afternoon and possibly the evening. Wind gusts could get as high as 22 mph during the day and 28 mph at night.
The heavy rainfall in the afternoon and evening could produce minor flooding as rains of more than 2 inches are possible, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. This morning will start off mostly sunny and mild but a low pressure system will bring widespread showers and storms late this afternoon through tonight. Some of these storms will produce heavy rainfall possibly in excess of 2". Minor flooding is possible.
