Denver will be cold, with an overnight freeze expected Thursday night and temperatures dropping to about 25 degrees.
Denver might see a few snowflakes Thursday morning, but city snowfall — if it happens at all — won’t be significant, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder.
“We’re really looking like this morning we have a little bit of rain showers moving in, we could see a few flakes but it’s not looking like there will be any accumulation,” said Jim Kalina, meteorologist at the weather service. The mountains and foothills are another story, though, he said. The mountains are under a winter weather advisory and regions above 9,000 feet will likely see between 4 to 8 inches of snow Thursday, Kalina said.
The foothills could also see as much as two inches of snow, Kalina said. Any snowfall is expected before noon, he added. But it will be a dry cold, Kalina said.
