Norm Brownstein is the first winner from a Denver-based firm and the first lobbyist so honored by the National Law Journal.
Brownstein was acknowledged for his work impacting national public policy for more than four decades, according to a news release. The National Law Journal described Brownstein as a “legendary government lawyer… who has proven the elegance of bipartisanship.”federal lobbying revenue in 2021 — a 29% boost compared to the same quarter in 2020 and a record in the industry. The firm’s total revenue for 2021 amounted to $56.25 million, which jumped 14% from the firm’s overarching numbers for 2020.
In 1995, Brownstein opened a government relations office in Washington, D.C., which has “subsequently grown into one of the largest, most successful” government relations practices in the country, according to the news release. Brownstein was recognized with the award on Thursday at a National Law Journal event in Washington, D.C. He is the first winner from a Denver-based firm and the first lobbyist so honored by the journal.
