Amy Klobuchar took issue with Elizabeth Warren's argument that candidates who don’t support a wealth tax are protecting billionaires: 'No one on this stage wants to protect billionaires. Not even the billionaire wants to protect billionaires.'

Sen. Elizabeth Warren's rivals are starting to hit her on her refusal to say whether the middle class would pay more in taxes to finance Medicare for All health care. She's been dogged from the debate stage to town halls to late-night TV shows by questions about whether she plans to unveil a signature health-care proposal—and"Your signature, Senator, is to have a plan for everything—except this," said South Bend, Ind.

"As somebody who wrote the damn bill ... premiums are gone," Mr. Sanders chimed in, before adding: "I do think it is appropriate to acknowledge that taxes will go up." Someone earning $100,000 would pay $10,000 more in taxes, he said, which is more than would be offset in lower health-care costs.
