The dog-friendly Easter eggs are available for a limited time
It’s almost chocolate lovers' favourite time of year. With Easter just around the corner, it can only mean mountains of chocolate will be arriving to homes across Manchester in the form of giant eggs and bitesize treats this weekend.
It’s a well-known fact that dogs can’t eat chocolate which contains a chemical called ‘theobromine’ which is toxic to our four-legged friends. In fact, the darker the chocolate the more poisonous it is.This year, food delivery giant Deliveroo has launched a brand new dog-friendly ‘chocolate’ Easter egg so your pet can feel part of the festive celebrations. However if you want to get your hands on ‘Deliver-Woof’ you’ve got to act fast.
The scrumptious, 100% fido-friendly chocolate egg is made with dog-safe ingredients and added vitamins A and D - both essential nutrients for dogs. Research from Deliveroo shows 39% of pet parents in Manchester say they feel nervous about having traditional chocolate in the house at Easter in case their pet gets its paws on it, with 47% revealing their insatiable pup has previously taken food off their plate and 35% confessing their pooch has raided shopping bags to munch on treats not meant for them.
