Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has released a message on social media after his new side's bus was attacked - with the manager left covered in blood.
Posting an image of a bloodied Grosso on his Instagram story , Lovren said: "What happened tonight to our coach and to us on the bus was beyond measure.READ MORE: Liverpool have new guaranteed starter as three players complete transformation "This has nothing to do with football anymore! If the law is not changed, one day it will be too late. The government must do something. I wish all Lyon supporters to come back home safely."Marseille club president Pablo Longoria said: "These are completely unacceptable circumstances.
A statement from the French league said: "During the meeting following the incidents that occurred outside the Velodrome stadium on the route of its bus, Olympique Lyonnais made known its opposition to taking part in the meeting given the circumstances."
