Nottingham Forest were handed a four-point deduction in March for breaching the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.
Nottingham Forest have discovered the outcome of the club's appeal against their Premier League points deduction.
An independent commission found that the club's losses breached the threshold for the period ending in the 2022/23 seasonwere initially due to be hit with a six-point deduction – three points for the initial breach and a further three for the size of the breach – but their "early plea" and "co-operation" saw that reduced to just four points.
"We are waiting to see the final decisions and see if we have 33, 32, 31 or 30 points. This is what we have to know, and for our opponents also."
