He first popped up on our TV screens in the 1980s as part of the Byker Grove gang. Dec, along with his best mate Ant McPartlin, has since become a household name on British telly, presenting hit shows like Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent.

Before they were linked romantically, Ashley admitted she liked Dec and said: "I would like to get to know Dec better. It would be nice to go for a drink and a chat."
