Eyewitnesses say that Portland Street is closed off at the moment with police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service in attendance.
Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident in Troon, where there have been reports of debris falling from a building.It could well be that the debris is a result of the effects of Storm Babet which is currently sweeping the country, causing major flooding in the north east.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.22am on Friday, October 20 to reports of debris coming from a roof of a building on Portland Street, Troon. “Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and one height vehicle to the area where firefighters are working to make the property safe.Download the Ayrshire Live app today The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.
