Thomas Wayne, the Flashpoint reality's twisted Batman, has taken in the son of Two-Face, seemingly training him as a gun-toting Robin. Bruce's hatred of guns and sorrow over Harvey's turn to crime mean if he ever finds out, the two will come to blows.
As the Batman in the Flashpoint Beyond reality appears to accidentally recruit his own Robin, Bruce Wayne's alt-universe father is corrupting the one person he'd disapprove of most.
The Flashpoint universe was created when the Flash went back in time and prevented his mother's murder at the hands of the Reverse-Flash. This triggered an alternate reality where Bruce Wayne died in crime alley instead of his parents. His father, Thomas Wayne, eventually became a murderous Batman.
In the Flashpoint universe, Oswald is Bruce's shady right-hand man, and tutors Dexter on using a gun, just like Thomas' Batman. While Thomas is currently too concerned with the fate of his world to care about consciously recruiting a Robin, Dexter is following the classic path, as he begins training with the implication of wanting to avenge his murdered family. Tragically, however, this is a choice that would outrage the mainstream Bruce Wayne.
Making things worse, Thomas' current mission is to once again erase the Flashpoint reality, and so he's carrying out his mission as if none of his actions will have actual consequences. Allowing Dexter Dent to join him as a crime-fighting sidekick would mean nothing to Thomas Wayne, even as it seems his reality is now part of the multiverse and isn't going anywhere.
