Warner Bros. has finally released the second and final Blue Beetle movie trailer, as Xolo Maridueña brings Jaime Reyes to life in the DC Universe.
With Jaime Reyes' cinematic adventure set to arrive next month, Warner Bros. has finally released the final Blue Beetle movie trailer. The DCEU may be coming to an end, but a new DC Universe is coming through James Gunn and Peter Safran under DC Studios. While Blue Beetle may not have been produced as part of Chapter 1, "Gods and Monsters." the film will be part of Gunn's new franchise, essentially serving as a prologue to their main DC Universe plans.
Blue Beetle is almost a month away from releasing in theatres, making Jaime the first major Latino superhero to have his own feature film. With the countdown ticking, Warner Bros. has released the second and final Blue Beetle trailer, giving fans another taste of the young hero's cinematic adventure.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Blue Beetle trailer release came from Entertainment Tonight, following the film's official Twitter account teasing that new footage was coming this week. While some previously seen footage is re-used, Blue Beetle's newest trailer also features new scenes and characters.
The emphasis of the second Blue Beetle trailer is showcasing Jaime's relationship with the Scarab. In the comics and various DC media, including Young Justice, the two of them have not always had an easy dynamic, with Jamie not always being a willing host. Based on the latest footage, the live-action adaptation will be taking a similar route where they have to learn to work together.
The trailer also gives a bigger showcase of Blue Beetle's villains, Victoria Kord and Conrad Carapax, whose suit is given more justice than in the initial images that came out. It will be exciting to see what other surprises Blue Beetle has in store for fans as this becomes a soft start for Gunn's new DC Universe. With only a couple of more weeks to go, the world will soon get to properly see Blue Beetle on the big screen.
