David Cameron is said to have been offered a job in government, after being seen entering Downing Street on Monday morning as Rishi Sunak launched a Cabinet reshuffle.
It is unclear in what capacity the former Prime Minister was visiting No. 10. Reports emerged after his visit at about 9am that Mr Cameron may have been offered the job of Foreign Secretary, in what would be a shock move.It's not clear whether the job Mr Cameron has been offered is even in the Cabinet. He could be given a freer role that means he does not need to become a Lord, the Telegraph reported.
Tradition dictates that any member of the Cabinet must be an MP or a peer, although this is not an absolute hard-and-fast rule.
