Manchester United hero David Beckham sent a message to Lionel Messi after presenting the iconic Argentina captain with his record-extending eighth Ballon d'Or.
PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe and Kevin De Bruyne, another treble-winner with City last season, finished third and fourth respectively as Messi was recognised for inspiring Argentina to the World Cup trophy.
