The widow of beloved Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has told how she misses her husband 'terribly' following his sad death earlier this year. .
Speaking months after his death, Lili spoke about how he had wooed her sandwich after the pair first met while he was filming his Hairy Bikers cookery show in Romania. She met Dave in 2006 while he and Si King were filming part of their first series, The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook where she had been helping with the production.
Speaking about Dave's ill health before his death, Lili told BBC Radio Cumbria: "I wasn't an easy period of time. I've watched this man die for a couple of years, every day, little by little." She explained that no matter what he was going through, Dave, whom she described as being 'larger than life', always 'made the most of every moment'. She added: "He always said, 'Let's make the most of today, we don't know what will come tomorrow",' before saying she misses him and his 'energy'.
