The New York Jets could use some help for their offense. But is landing Davante Adams realistic?
The Raiders were firm throughout the offseason: they weren’t interested in trading Davante Adams, despite the constant drip of rumors. Adams did his best to shoot down the rumors as well, including one sparked by former Packers teammate and current Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who said that he was looking forward to playing with Adams “again.”
So there’s clearly the will from Rodgers and Adams to get this done. And while adding another wide receiver isn’t the biggest priority right now for a Jets team that has a No.
But the bigger question is if Woody Johnson will be willing to shell out the cash it’ll take to land Adams, especially considering the Jets are already paying Williams and Lazard more than $15 million for this season.
