Aviation company to create 400 jobs on Space Coast
A French jet manufacturer will bring hundreds of high-wage jobs to a maintenance facility it will build on Florida’s Space Coast.
The building will be capable of handling a full range of inspection, repair and overhaul activities. It will be equipped with workshops, customer offices and lounges, along with a large warehouse to support shop activity and serve as a regional distribution hub. Additionally, the site will be home to a 54,000-square-foot paint shop.
Indeed, aviation and aerospace is foundational to the Space Coast economy. It is home to manufacturing facilities for major players in defense and civil aviation and aerospace, including Lockheed Martin Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp. and Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer S.A.
