The £5million summer signing from Feyenoord suffered a fracture which needed surgery but has heaped praise on the staff who helped him get back in the pitch a week sooner than the six-week timeframe for such an injury. Danilo came off the bench to feature under new boss Philippe Clement and will be hell bent on living up to his lofty fee under the guidance of the Belgium,
Posting on social media, Danilo said: "A special thanks to the medical team who took care of my injury. Finally on the field again after five weeks instead of 6… I feel really blessed." Danilo will be aiming for a key role in the clash with Sparta Prague with Clement admitting he knows plenty about both their Europa League opponents and the man in the opposition dugout. The 49-year-old said: “I have watched two of their games and their coach Brian Priske is a friend of mine. We played together at Brugge and then he coached at Antwerp.
“They play a 3-2-4-1 structure, with a lot of good passing between the lines. We hope to have as many players available in a good shape. We need as many fit players as possible. We are going to need a Rangers team on the tip of their toes to get a result against Sparta Prague.”
