He touted high levels of job creation and economic growth under the Biden administration, and celebrated the passage of the $1 trillion infrastructure bill last year — a feat Allred said the Black Caucus was instrumental in achieving.
After noting that in 2018, he was elected as part of the most diverse class of freshmen lawmakers in Congressional history, Allred transitioned to lauding Biden’s historically diverse cabinet, including the first Black Secretary of Defense and the first Black woman to head the Office of Management and Budget, among others.
“As one of our nation’s brightest legal minds, Judge Jackson’s exceptional credentials, unimpeachable character and unwavering dedication to the rule of law will be incredibly valuable to our nation’s highest court,” Allred said.
