Heavy storms are delivering rain and a potential for flooding across Dallas-Fort Worth.
Rain is expected to continue on and off throughout Saturday and into the evening, likely ending around midnight, said Allison Prater, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. One to two inches of rain is expected, although some areas could see up to 3 inches of rain.
Flood advisories are in place for Dallas and Tarrant counties, and the weather service is warning people to use caution while driving. A flood warning was in effect for White Rock Creek near Greenville Avenue, which is expected to resolve by late afternoon, according to the weather service.“Stay aware of road conditions,” Prater said. “If you’re driving through heavy rain, take it a little slower and don’t drive through high water.
