Harvard-Westlake’s Trent Perry is the Daily News boys athlete of the week.
Perry was instrumental in the Wolverines’ biggest week of the regular season, helping to beat Notre Dame in double overtime on the road Wednesday night before topping Sierra Canyon at home 72-52 Friday night. The junior point guard scored a game-high 27 points, which included making 15-of-16 free throws, against Notre Dame and added a steady 15 points in the win over Sierra Canyon.
Harvard-Westlake is 23-1 overall and sitting in first place in the Mission League at 5-0. All signs point to a top seed in the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs.Brady Dunlap has 14pts for HW.
