Ryan Morgan, 31, of Southwest Washington was pronounced dead at a hospital Sunday.
A 31-year-old man has died of injuries sustained in a June triple shooting in Southeast Washington, according to D.C. police.Police have not made an arrest in the killing. Morgan’s father, reached by phone Monday, declined to comment on his son’s death until police conclude their investigation, citing safety concerns.
The shooting, which occurred June 14 in the 100 block of Atlantic Street SW, also injured a second man and a juvenile male, age 17, police said. They were both transported to a hospital — the man in critical condition and the teenager with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police said Monday that they did not know their conditions.
So far this year, 189 people have been killed in Washington, putting the city on track for its deadliest year in at least two decades.
