Kev Mathie died eight days into the ride from Bilbao in Spain to Faro in Portugal.
A group of cyclists has completed a 1,000-mile charity ride in memory of one their teammates who died part-way through the challenge.The Steve Bernard Foundation team continued the ride to raise money for community sports projects.
Kev Mathie, from Charminster in Bournemouth, had been taking part in the It's Too Faro ride along with 19 others raising money for the Steve Bernard Foundation. His son Craig, who was also taking part in the ride, said: "It's been an emotional roller coaster - it was eight of the toughest days, and then this was devastating.""They said 'We've got to do it' - he wouldn't have wanted it to end," he said.
In a social media post, the charity said the team put their "hearts and souls" into the challenge to reach the capital of the Algarve.
