Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) has declared a critical incident due to significant pressure faced across their hospitals in the city. The NUH Trust has urged people to choose their services wisely as the Emergency Department is currently very busy.
A critical incident has been declared by Nottingham University Hospitals , according to reports. The NUH Trust is said to have declared the incident on Monday, October 30, after significant pressure was faced across their hospitals in the city, including Nottingham City Hospital and Queen's Medical Centre.
"Please help us by choosing your service wisely." It has been reported by Shaun Lintern, health editor at the Sunday Times, that there are more than 200 people in the A&E and 120 waiting to be admitted at the Queen's Medical Centre.In a tweet he shared screenshots of what appears to be an email sent to NUH colleagues by the Trust. In which it states: "There are more than 220 people in ED at QMC with more than 122 patients waiting to be admitted to a ward.
