The Biden administration on Thursday, July 11, 2024, sanctioned the Venezuelan gang allegedly behind a spree of kidnappings, extortion and other violent crimes tied to migrants that have spread across Latin America and the United States. In the meantime, serious national security issues are playing out at our borders, and we have to address them immediately. Aside from the record level ofencounters that have been registered by border authorities, there is another danger taking hold in our country — the growing presence of lethal gangs in the United States.
At a time when threats against our nation are at an all-time high, we cannot afford to let bad actors slip through the cracks. Political rhetoric will simply not cut it and is only putting American lives at risk. Now is the time to roll up our sleeves and shield Americans from the hands of evil and those who wish to wreak havoc in our nation. Every light is blinking red.
