⚠ Road Rangers are often the first people on the scene of a crash and work quickly to make sure traffic flows smoothly. It can be a dangerous job, but they do it because they care.
The Florida Department of Transportation is recognizing them and the critical role they play this week for Crash Responder Safety Week.
“We do anything from motorists that have flat tires, motorists that need jumpstarts, motorists that have been involved in a crash. Sometimes it can be someone that’s pulled over for a medical emergency,” Dickerson said. The Florida Department of Transportation continues to work on strategies to make sure no more first responders get hurt.
