A crash between two commercial trucks in Montgomery County leaves one driver dead, one seriously injured
A collision between two commercial trucks early Thursday in Montgomery County left one driver dead and another seriously injured.
The wrecked happened just after midnight on U.S. 80 westbound near mile marker 122, said Senior Trooper Larry Thomas. Killed was 45-year-old Leslie Wayne Deloach of Prattville. Jay Hardy, 54, of Texas, was seriously injured. Thomas said Deloach was driving a 1990 Kenworth semi-truck when he failed to stop at a stop sign before making a right turn onto U.S. 80. He collided with a 2000 Freightliner tractor-trailer driven by Hardy.
Deloach was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the semi. He was taken to Baptist South Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
