Tens of thousands of households in Glasgow are eligible for the payment from a fund worth £1 million.
Ricky Bell, Glasgow’s City Treasurer, said: “We are in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis, and we will do all that we can to support those hardest-hit by rising energy costs in these challenging times.“We know that this is not an entire solution for households, but it will provide a top-up or allow families to use the saving on other household bills at a time when we need it the most.”The council said many people have still not applied and cash is waiting to be claimed.
