Cory Booker Says He ‘Thought Twice’ About Changing Into Regular Clothes to Walk Home in Emotional Interviewis opening up about the ongoing justices black men face in America. The 51-year-old New Jersey senator, who recently ran to be the Democratic nominee for the 2020 presidential election, gave a passionate interview on Thursday night'sThe host asked Booker about the use of military in Washington, D.C., on protesters.
Booker noted that his loved ones first started talking to him about how he might be perceived as a black man at the age of 12 or 13, when he was already around six feet tall. The politician also opened up about his own personal interactions with the police throughout his life. Booker began to get emotional talking about some of the painful conversations he's had with friends over a week of unrest in the country.
