Joe Duttine spoke to the ECHO in an exclusive interview as his onscreen counterpart is in danger
The soap star's character, Tim Metcalfe, was at the centre of the action as he was targeted by the villainous Stephen Reid last week. Tim was left for dead by the serial killer as his body was locked in the boot of his taxi.
However, Joe explained he takes the storylines as they come for his character and admitted he's never too concerned about whether he may be about to written out of the show. He said: "I never get worried about that. I'm sure one day he will reach an end but I'm just enjoying the ride at the minute. He said: "I love all the scenes I get to have with Sally. We've worked with each-other now for 10 years or so and we just get on as people, we understand each other's rhythms and I think we've got nice chemistry."
"We tend to just leave that at work. We don't run lines together because she doesn't take me seriously enough. She disappears to the bedroom and does them on her own. We're very blessed, very lucky and leave work at work."
