Coronation Street fans think they have spotted an obvious blunder as they finally discovered Tim Metcalfe was still alive. There have been a lot of asking 'where's Tim?' during the ITV soap's Super Soap Week after he was brutally attacked by exiting serial killer Stephen Reid.
But Corrie viewers will remember Tim spying on Stephen after he took a trip to the canal to check if victim Teddy Thompkins' body was still in the car roof box he'd dumped after killing him and stuffing him inside. And it was Tim's distinctive ringtone that landed him in trouble as Stephen remembered the noise he heard later on the street, being the same he heard when at the canal.
Tim rushed back to his cab and tried to call the police but the signal wasn't great and he was cut off before, in dramatic scenes, he was attacked by Stephen - twice. Stephen suddenly appeared in the back seat of the car and, realising he was heading towards the police station, Stephen strangled Tim only for him to get away. But the killer gave chase and when Tim thought he was safe, Stephen hit him over the head with a metal bar.
During Friday night's episode Corrie fans saw the end of Stephen as he was run over and killed by Peter Barlow as he threatened Jenny Connor with a broken bottle in the middle of the street. Viewers also saw Tim open his eyes, still tied up in the boot of his own taxi in the woods.
