Coronation Street fans were confused by one detail in Summer Spellman's exit as she was seen leaving the cobbles. in scenes aired during Wednesday night's edition of the ITV soap.
However, Summer told Billy at the time that she knew it was not the right time amid his husband Paul Foreman's diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease. But later, Summer suggested asking for the placement to be put back a year, to which Billy agreed. Earlier this week, however, Summer booked her flight to Boston as she was reassured by Billy and Paul that she'd be the first to know of any changes to Paul's condition.
But some Corrie fans took to social media to comment on the scenes. @k_heyrab asked: "Why has Summer only got a carry on for a term long trip #Corrie." @Greg_Phillips_ said: "As is customary in all soaps, Summer is off to another country with one suitcase and nothing else….#Corrie." @ChurchieBoy1986 wrote: "#Corrie travelling light summer."
