But while she may have grown up with stories of the cobbles, Jodie's family shares an unexpected connection with late actress Patricia Phoenix.
"We used to have a laundrette and a café and grocery. My nan’s brother used to deliver Pat Phoenix’s groceries", Jodie added."I think when your family have loved something for so long, it genuinely is an honour to be part of an institution and a family - that’s genuinely what it’s felt like coming in."
