Sally has played Sally Metcalfe since 1986 Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor has revealed that she fainted after being told she has breast cancer. The actress, best known for her role as Sally Metcalfe in the show, was given her diagnosis in 2009 when she was 46. At the time, her soap alter-ego also received the news that she had cancer too. Sally, now 60, has recovered from the illness, but she talks about her journey often and is very passionate about raising awareness.
’ Elsewhere, Sally Metcalfe faced a troublesome time in Coronation Street last week when husband Tim went missing. Sally started to worry that Tim had been killed by Stephen Initially believing he had failed to return home after a football match, Sally then faced the horrifying prospect that Tim might’ve been murdered by Stephen Reid . Tim wasn’t killed by the evil businessman, but was brutally attacked and thrown into the boot of his car, where he was trapped for two very long nights.
