Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow is saying 'goodbye' to the cobbles after her iconic character uncovered a shocking betrayal. After an amazing run of 47 years, Tracy – played by actress Kate Ford – is leaving Weatherfield after discovering that a heartfelt letter from her sweetheart Tommy Orpington had been destroyed.
But everything clicked into place when Tracy realised Steve must have intercepted the letter. She confronted him about it and ended their relationship once and for all, as reported by the Daily Star. Steve confessed: "I burned the letter that Tommy sent you. I'm sorry." But as Steve tried to defuse the situation by reassuring her that her fling with Tommy was over, Tracy retorted: "It's not over between me and Tommy though, is it? The letter said as much and that's why you burned it. Shame on you."
