Eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers quickly pointed out the mystery character watching Roy Cropper after Lauren Bolton's suspected death, after police claimed she had been murdered.
Fans will remember that troubled Lauren left without warning earlier this year, leaving her boyfriend Bobby worried when he discovered her flat unlocked and empty. It appears she didn't tell anyone about her plans to leave Weatherfield except Roy, as she disappeared instantly. In Monday's episode, Max Turner visited Lauren's dad Reece in prison to grill him about his daughter's whereabouts and accidentally let slip that Roy had been wrongly suspected of Lauren's murder. This resulted in Roy being held hostage at his café as two dodgy men interrogated him. They demanded that Roy tell them what he has done with Lauren.
