Cordon put in place near Lowry Hotel after emergency services descend on street

The road has now reopened

A police cordon was put in place near The Lowry Hotel this morning.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a huge emergency services presence near the hotel on Dearmans Place. Pictures also show police officers and fire crews on Chapel Street, with the road shut off from around 10.45am.READ MORE:has contacted Greater Manchester Police and the Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for information. Chapel Street reopened at about 11.30am.
