A cordon was set up after the emergency services were called to an incident in Nottingham city centre. Paramedics were called to reports of a medical emergency on Monday afternoon .
East Midlands Ambulance Service sent crews to the incident in Byard Land, near the Cross Keys pub, where they were assisted by colleagues at Nottinghamshire Police. In a statement, EMAS said: "We received a call at 12.36pm on August 1 to Byard Lane in Nottingham. The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent two medical first responders and two crewed ambulances. We are currently still on scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a number of police vehicles and a cordon set up. The incident is not currently thought to be suspicious.Ted Fisher, who was having a drink at the Cross Keys pub, was left concerned. The 69-year-old from Bramcote said: "The police were here for when I got here. It is obviously worrying."
