There is a heavy police presence in Lanark
Emergency crews descended onto High Street in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, after receiving the alarm at 2.50pm today. Images from the scene show a heavy police presence in attendance alongside ambulance crews and fire teams.
The pedestrian's current condition is unknown. The stretch of road is currently closed in both directions. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.50pm on Monday, 3 July 2023 police received a report of a crash involving a lorry and pedestrian on High Street, Lanark. Emergency services are at the scene and High Street has been closed in both directions with diversions in place." "No further info available at this time."
