Coolio, the Grammy-winning Compton rapper who was behind the global hit “Gangsta’s Paradise,” has died at 59

Born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. in Monessen, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 1, 1963, Coolio grew up in Compton, California.
