Turf City MRT station is one of six stations on Phase 2 of the Cross Island Line, which is targeted to start passenger service in 2032.

SINGAPORE: Construction work for the new Turf City MRT station on the Cross Island Line is set to start in the third quarter of this year, said the Land Transport Authority on Monday .
Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co is in the final stages of completing Katong Park and Bayshore MRT stations on the Thomson-East Coast Line . It has also completed the construction of Shenton Way station. Before starting excavation and construction works for the station structure, earth retaining and stabilising structures will be installed to ensure safety and ground stability.
These measures include setting up barriers along the roadside to prevent animals from going onto the road and to guide them towards other forest patches.
