A construction worker was killed Saturday afternoon in western Bexar County after a large steel pipe fell on the worker’s head while it was being unloaded from an 18-wheeler, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. The incident happened around noon in the 12100 block of West Military Drive. Authorities said the construction team was working on a drainage system on the side of the roadway.
