That would be the second-fastest 50 goals in by a member of the WHL’s Pats. Callander accomplished that feat in 39 games in 1981-82. Doug Wickenheiser reached 50 goals in 42 games in 1979-80.
• Bedard leads the WHL in goals and points despite missing 11 games while with Canada’s world junior team. He is 19 points ahead of his closest pursuer,. Benson has played seven more games. Goals-wise, Bedard is four ahead of the Red Deer Rebels’ Kai Uchacz, who has played in 12 more games than the Pats’ captain.
