Fears are growing that Renfrewshire Council has made another catastrophic error with school numbers as it’s revealed only 33 denominational high school places have been predicted for a 600-house development.
The Paisley Daily Express has learned of the school roll projections for the hugely popular St Andrew’s Academy as a result of Thornly Park village – soon to be built on surplus land at Dykebar Hospital.
Paisley-based Neil Bibby MSP said Renfrewshire Council must explain fully how it came to arrive its figures for a school that is already oversubscribed. “Renfrewshire Council must explain how their figures were arrived at and confirm whether or not they have been independently verified. They should also set out and consult on what they plan to do and when to address the capacity issues at St Andrew’s Academy.”
