The reintroduction of the service in Singapore follows a similar relaunch in the Philippines in November 2022.
With the newest version of GrabShare, all shared rides will be matched upfront, which means a ride will be confirmed only after two passengers headed in similar directions are matched. Other changes that Grab made to the service include limiting the number of bookings per shared ride to two, and the number of passengers per booking to just one.
