Columbus and Reynoldsburg are working together to turn a stormwater retention field along Brice Road on the border of the two cities into a new park.

A 10-acre stormwater retention field owned by the Columbus Department of Utilities — but within the city of Reynoldsburg's boundaries — will become a park for at least a decade, under a deal struck between the two cities.

"The city of Columbus owns the land and will maintain ownership," said Donna Bauman, Reynoldsburg's director of Parks and Recreation, adding that the new"Brice Park" will be a"passive" recreation area that won't alter the parcel's primary purpose of retaining stormwater runoff.
