Read it again: Colorado State and Wyoming restore Bronze Boot, preserving its history for future generations
For the past 53 years, the Colorado State Rams and Wyoming Cowboys have played the Border War with the winner taking home the famed traveling trophy.
Colorado State also called their friends up north at Wyoming to make the restoration process a joint effort. The history of the Boot goes back to an American soldier, captain Dan Romero, who wore it while serving in the Vietnam War.
