The assault-style rifle used in the shooting was legally purchased by the suspect, according to officials briefed on the investigation. A second gun was also recovered at the scene, police said. The court has sealed the arrest warrant and supporting documentation connected with Aldrich's arrest. According to the motion by prosecutors, if the records were "released, it could jeopardize the ongoing case investigation."
