University of Illinois at Chicago student found strangled to death in parking garage, police say.
Campus police at the University of Illinois at Chicago have taken a person of interest into custody after a 19-year-old student was found unresponsive inside a car in a parking garage on campus.
Late Sunday, George's death was ruled a homicide by strangulation, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Investigators determined that George was alone when she entered the parking garage around 1:35 a.m. Saturday, and a person of interest was seen entering the garage shortly after she did.Police did not release additional information on the case.
