Coleen Rooney addressed Wayne Rooney’s 2017 scandal in her Disney Plus doc Coleen Rooney explained she felt ‘sickened and heartbroken’ after he was arrested for drink driving, with another woman in the passenger seat. In 2017 the Manchester United legend, 37, was stopped by the police after being found behind the wheel of a VW Beetle belonging to lettings agent Laura Simpson, who had met Wayne on a night out while his wife Coleen – who was pregnant with their fourth child – was on holiday.
They married in a lavish ceremony in June 2008 when they were both 22, and welcomed their eldest son Kai the following year. Addressing his previous scandals in his Amazon Prime documentary, Wayne noted: ‘I put myself in the wrong place and when you’re in the wrong place and alcohol is involved, you’re going to have to make bad decisions and suffer with the consequences. The couple have four children ‘That’s what happened.
