As the cost of living crisis deepens, Cold Weather Payments worth £25 will be available to eligible households in Northern Ireland from November 1 to March 31. Payments are triggered when the average temperature is 0 C or below for seven or more consecutive days. To be eligible, you must be claiming certain benefits or Support for Mortgage Interest. Payments are received automatically.
As the clocks change, the days get shorter, and the cold evenings begin to approach, annual Cold Weather Payments could soon be rolling out to households across Northern Ireland.
